Corrections & Retractions

How SETSCI records errors, serious concerns, withdrawals and retractions after publication.

Last updated 28 September 2026

Report a problem

Authors, readers and editors can report an error or an integrity concern to info@set-science.com. Include the article title or DOI, a description of the issue and any supporting evidence. SETSCI works with the conference editor and relevant authors to assess the concern and seeks institutional input where appropriate.

Corrections

Errors that do not invalidate the main findings may be addressed with a dated correction, erratum or corrigendum. Examples include a wrong figure or table, an equation error, missing information or an author-detail error. The notice explains what changed and is linked to the article. The earlier version remains part of the publication history.

Serious concerns

When the reliability or ethics of a paper is in question, the appropriate outcome may be an expression of concern, withdrawal or retraction. A retraction does not make the publication disappear: the public landing page remains, clearly marked with the reason and a dated notice. Access to a file may be restricted where necessary, while the bibliographic record is preserved.

The permanent record

SETSCI does not silently replace or delete published work. It preserves the available original metadata and file versions, records the decision and updates linked metadata when needed. A correction or retraction does not reassign a registered DOI. Questions about a notice can be sent to the publishing office.
