Nowadays the progress of technology; computers, the internet and smartphones have taken over our lives and made an important place in our lives. Turkstat to be made according to the Household Survey on Information Technology Usage in Turkey, 96.9% of households have a mobile phone or smartphone. While smartphones are often used for messaging and searching, they are also used for many different purposes, such as navigation, gaming, social networking, and more. Individuals have been reported to have been separated from these devices and are afraid of leaving smartphones that are called nomophobia, such as stress and aggression. When we look at the effects that the nomophobin has created, the studies show that the concept should be included in the dependency classes are weighted. On the other hand, young people are experiencing physical and psychological problems such as pain on the fingers when they use their mobile phones extensively, sleeplessness and depression due to their telephone problems during the night. This situation also affects the academic success of students in the negative direction.

The questionnaire form of the research consists of two parts. In the first part, the 'Student Personal Information Form' prepared by the researchers and the Turkish Nomofoi Scale developed by Yildirim and Correia (2015) and adapted to Turkish by Yildirim, Sumuer, Adnan and Yildirim (2016) were used. In this study, the nomophobia levels of the students of Gümüşhane University SHMYO were examined. The study is still in the data collection phase.
