Abstract
In today’s world with ever-aggravating environmental problems, environmental training has a great significance in mitigating and coping with such problems. Environmental pollution is the greatest problem today and certain measures and steps should urgently be taken to prevent ecological imbalance and to leave a heritable nature to future generations. Nudge theory is related to behavioral sciences and provides an efficient method with the principles specified by humans to change their behaviors.A kind of soft power theory, ‘Nudge Theory’ supports the idea of changing human behaviors without forcing them. Instead of pressure and prohibition, Nudge Theory uses the methods of encouragement, preference and induction. The theory is composed of various applicable principles of the life and can reliably be used to fight against environmental pollution, to preserve ecological balance and to create a life style to leave a heritable environment to future generations. In this study, possible use of “Nudge” approach in minimizing environmental damage and providing a sustainable heritable environment was assessed in detail.
