Low energy and water consumption of green buildings during the life cycle, waste management, minimizing the impact of projects on the ecosystem and increasing the use of environmentally friendly materials have made high performance green buildings attractive to investors. Certificate systems played an active role in the dissemination of green buildings and determination of the performance of the buildings with a concrete way. Green Building evaluation systems, which have become increasingly widely used throughout the world, have emerged as a new trend and sector. The LEED (United States) certification system is the most common of green building certification systems (Çelik, 2016). The LEED sustainable building certification system aims to minimize energy consumption as well as maximize user comfort. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital, which is the first LEED Certified hospital in the world, in terms of the criteria related to certification and increasing the contribution of the architect to the design process. Within the scope of the study, the concept of sustainability and its relation to green buildings were emphasized, the green building certificate systems and Leed certificate system, which are the most common of these systems, were informed and Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital, LEED Platinum certified as a sampling area, was selected. The topic of the study will be elucidated by using written sources, internet database, analysises and photos. Furthermore, visual elements such as figures, tables and samples has been used. The hospital has been examined in the context of LEED standards. Accordingly, the building received 13 points from its property of being sustainable land, 8 points from water efficiency, 29 points from energy and atmosphere, 8 points from  materials and sources, 15 points from interior air quality, 6 points from innovation in design and 4 points from regional priority. As a result, the environmental damage is compensated by legislation related to the design of green buildings and also the environment-friendly buildings are produced and even the existing building stock is improved.Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital, a first in the world within the scope of Health structure, is an important example in terms of Turkey's prestige and leadership of the market practitioners.
