Bu disiplinler arası alanlardan biri grafik tasarımdır. Farklı anlatım türleri bulunan afiş tasarımlarında doğrudan mesaj\r\niletimi açısından portre kullanımı dikkat çekmektedir. Grafik tasarım ürünleri genel olarak alıcıya bir mesaj iletme amacı gü-\r\nder. Öğrenme ve farkındalığın oluşmasında alıcının en iyi algılama biçimini genellikle görseller oluşturmaktadır. Afiş tasarımı\r\ntanıtım rolünü oynarken görsellerle beslenmekte ve mesajını yardımcı öğelerle iletmektedir. Bu araştırma nitel araştırma deseni\r\nolmakla birlikte sanatçı ve eserleri hakkında bilgiler toplanmıştır. Grafik tasarım ürünlerinden afiş tasarımlarında kullanılan\r\nresimlerin, mesajın iletimine olan katkısını ve önemini vurgulamak için dünyaca ünlü Amerika’lı Grafik Tasarımcı Shepard\r\nFairey araştırmada örneklem olarak ele alınmıştır. Erişilen veriler doğrultusunda Sanatçının portre kullanarak tasarladığı 10\r\nafiş tasarımı betimsel analiz yöntemiyle irdelenerek evreni oluşturmuştur.\r\nAraştırmanın temel amacı; Güney Carolina doğumlu grafik tasarımcı ve illüstratör Shepard Fairey’nin tasarımları çer-\r\nçevesinde grafik tasarım ürünü olarak afiş tasarımlarında portre kullanımının önemini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Grafik tasarımcıların\r\nresmi, önemli bir iletişim aracı olarak afiş tasarımlarında kullanmasının önemini ortaya çıkarmanın araştırma açısından önem\r\ntaşıdığı düşünülmektedir. Banner design plays the role of publicity and feeds visuals and con-vey the message with these helpful elements. Although this research is qualitative research pattern, information about artists and their works has been collected. In order to emphasize the importance and contribution of the graphic design products to the transmission of the message, graphic designer Shepard Fairey, the world -famous American Graphic Designer, has been taken as a sample in the research. According to the data accessed, 10 pos-ters designed by the artist using portraits have been examined by using descriptive analysis method and created the universe. The main purpose of the research is to illustrate the importance of portrait design as a graphic design product within the framework of the designs of South Ca rolina-born graphic designer and illustrator Shepard Fairey.
