Lise Öğrencilerinde İnternet Bağımlılığı ve Depresyon Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Bu araştırmanın amacı Samsun İlindeki bir devlet lisesindeki öğrencilerin, internet bağımlılığını ölçmek ve bu durumun depresyon üzerindeki etkilerini belirlemektir. Çalışmada lise öğrencilerinin demografik özellikleri ile birlikte internet bağımlılığı ve depresyon arasındaki ilişki değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmada depresyonun değerlendirilmesi için CES-Depresyon Ölçeği (The Centre for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale) ve internet bağımlılığın belirlenmesi için İnternet Bağımlılığı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin analizinde SPSS (version 21; IBM, Armonk, NY) paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda depresyon ile cinsiyet arasında anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur (p<0.05). Bununla birlikte, internet bağımlılığı ile depresyon arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki saptanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda depresyon sıklığının nedenlerinden birinin de internet bağımlılığı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.  

The aim of this research is to measure internet addiction of students in state high-school in Samsun and to determine the effects of this situation on depression. In this research, the relationship between demographic characteristic of high school students with internet addiction and depression evaluated. In the study, The CES-Depression Scale (The Centre of Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale) was used to evaluate the depression and Internet Addiction Scale was used to determine the internet addiction. The SPSS (version: 21; IBM, Armonk, NY) package program was used to analyze the data. Significant relationships was founded between depression and gender (p<0.05). The positive correlation was determined between internet addiction and depression. For this reason, while the frequency of depression increases, one of the reasons must known by the those concerned that it's the addiction of internet.
