Evaluation of Agro-Tourism Potential in the scope of Alternative Tourism of Erzurum İspir District

Today tourism has made significant progress that an important source of income for countries and the development of international trade.with the increasing tendency of travel in line with the rising standard of living individuals. Tourist product perceptions and desires of individuals constant change in accordance with the changing circumstances of the age. In this context, works on the development of rural areas are continuously increasing the tourism resources of the world are used for rural tourism purposes. One of the types of tourism that has emerged in the light of these studies is agro-tourism, which is of great importance in environmental sensitivity and sustainability issues. Agro-tourism provides opportunities for domestic and foreign tourists outside traditional tourism activities.Agro-tourism, which helps to stay away from stressful urban life and to stay alone with nature are among the alternative tourism types that sensitive and conscious tourists prefer. In the research, firstly rural tourism, rural development and agro-tourism concepts were examined, then investigation of agrotourism potential of İspir district which is thought to be a suitable application area in terms of agro-tourism. In this context, literature reviews related to the subject have been made and research and observation studies have been carried out in the region. Suggestions have been made for Ispir region to increase and protect the agro-tourism activities and to increase the awareness of visitors and local people in the direction of the obtained data.
