Dizel Motorlarında Zararlı Egzoz Emisyonlarının Azaltılmasının Araştırılması

Dünyada enerji üretimi yapılan her yerde havayı kirleten maddeler atmosfere atılmaktadır. Özellikle yakma sistemlerinin baca ve egzozlarından çevreye yayılan bu kirleticiler insan sağlığını ve canlıların hayat şartlarını olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Yapılan bu çalışmada zararlı egzoz emisyonlarını azaltmak amacıyla ayçiçek yağının metil esteri hacimsel olarak %25 oranında dizel yakıtına karıştırılmıştır.  Elde edilen karışım, tek silindirli, hava soğutmalı ve direkt püskürtmeli bir dizel motorun değişik devirlerinde denenmiş olup motorun egzoz gazı emisyonları ölçülmüştür. Bu değerler dizel yakıtı kullanımı ile ölçülen değerlerle karşılaştırılmıştır. Deney sonuçları dizel yakıtına göre karışımda kirletici emisyon miktarlarında bir düşüş olduğunu göstermiştir. Maksimum moment devrinde dizel yakıtına göre CO miktarı %21, NOx miktarı %11, maksimum güç devrinde ise CO %7, NOx’in % 12 azaldığı görülmüştür. Araştırma sonucunda, bitkisel yağların esterleri alternatif yakıt olarak dizel araçlarından kullanılmasının çevre açısından olumlu olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
