Kimlik’te Benlik İnşası ve Sanatçı Şahsiyeti
Abstract

Self-Construction and the Artist's Personality in Identity
Identity is primarily cultural with its complex and influential potential. Art, characterized by concepts, forms, processes and experiences, is also a mechanism for cultural production. Culture as a scope of conditions for struggle, resistance, experience, transference and constants are re-positions itself in a postmodern world that can render ”self ‘’ contents dynamic for art and therefore for the artist. “I” discourse with the dominance of mechanical and technological conformism, especially today, it is under the pressure of “techno” patterns and ideologies. New trends in our living habits have influenced class distress that be ‘self’ above, gender, ideology and other identity identities with the effect of globalization. The causal linkage of the organic relationship between popular culture and personal values also makes the individual profile with a voluntary independent scope unstable and discontinuous. Legitimization, socialization and particularly democratization lead to cultural equalization. We can define cultural equalization as the emergence of middle status, which has a uniform culture with uncertain and general values, norms and meanings, along with a reduction in status differences. Thus, social and collective identities were fragmented and cultural codes were erased and new global cultural codes, sub-identity, super-identity and hybridization concepts came to the fore. Postmodern identity has become an identity based on image, role and consumption culture. All identities are formed within a system of social relations and they need to get to know each other. Identity should not be considered as an object, but as a system of symbols and relations. The artist, who exhibited a sample for the self profile in which these features are personalized, is in this way, even if not yet, to claim to have a ‘personality ‘that still on the way to claim a “personality’’ to have a personality within the scope of “identity’’, which is profiled by others and ossified with cultural stereotypes, instead of the“ self ‘’ that he has internalized and shaped in relation to the past.
