Abstract

Bu çalışmada, ağırlıkça %0.1, %0.3 ve %0.5 oranında grafen nanotabaka (GNT) takviyeli alüminyum (Al) matrisli kompozitler toz metalurjisi metoduyla üretilmiştir. Üretilen kompozitlerin deneysel yoğunluğu, çekme dayanımı, aşınma oranısırasıyla; Arşimet yoğunluk ölçüm kitiyle, üniversal test makinasıyla ve pin-on disk aşınma deney tertibatıylagerçekleştirilmiştir.

Investigation of Tensile Strength, Abrasion Resistance, and Microstructure in Aluminum-Graphene Composite Structures

In this study, graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) reinforced aluminum (Al) matrix composites with various graphene ratio (0.1, 0.3 and 0.5wt.% ) were fabricated by powder metallurgy method. Experimental density, tensile strength, wear rate of the composites were performed by Archimedes’ density meter kit, universal test machine, and pin-on disc wear test unit. The microstructure of composites was investigated by scanning electron microscope and x-ray diffractometer. Test results showed that the best experimental density (2.52 g/cm3 ), tensile strength (118.6 MPa), and wear rate (12x10-5 mm3 /(Nm)) were obtained at Al-0.1%GNPs composites. After this graphene content (0.1wt.%), the mechanical properties and wear resistance of the composites were deteriorated due to the agglomeration of graphene.
