Gaziantep'teki Han Yapılarının Güncel Durum Analizi

Gaziantep tarihi kent merkezinde yer alan han yapılarını odağına alarak, bu yapıların günümüzdeki fiziksel durumlarını, geçirdikleri müdahale türlerini ve mevcut kullanım biçimlerini değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Gaziantep, çok katmanlı tarihî dokusu ve zengin kültürel birikimiyle Türkiye’nin önde gelen tarihî kentlerinden biri olarak bilinmektedir. Bu mirasın önemli unsurlarından biri olan hanlar, hem mimari nitelikleri hem de geçmişten gelen ticari işlevleriyle kent kimliğinde belirleyici bir rol oynamaktadır. Aynı zamanda sosyal yaşamın yoğun bir mekanı da olan hanlar, kentin ana bileşenlerindendir. Çalışma kapsamında, Gaziantep kent merkezinde yer alan hanlar yapısal durumları ve geçirdikleri müdahalelere göre üç gruba ayrılarak değerlendirilmiştir: "restorasyon uygulanmış", "yenileme kapsamında müdahale edilmiş" ve "herhangi bir uygulamaya tabi tutulmamış" hanlar. Bu sınıflandırma doğrultusunda her bir han için güncel durum tespitleri tablo halinde sunulmuştur. Değerlendirme sürecinde hem kamu kurumlarınca yürütülen uygulamalar hem de özel mülkiyetteki yapıların mevcut durumu dikkate alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışma, Gaziantep’in tarihi kent merkezinde yer alan hanların korunma durumlarını ve güncel kullanım biçimlerini ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir.

Focusing on the inn buildings in the historic city center of Gaziantep, this study aims to evaluate their current physical condition, the types of interventions they have undergone and their current use. Gaziantep is known as one of the leading historical cities of Turkey with its multi-layered historical texture and rich cultural heritage. As one of the important elements of this heritage, inns play a decisive role in the city's identity with both their architectural qualities and their commercial functions from the past. Inns, which are also an intense place of social life, are one of the main components of the city. Within the scope of the study, the inns in Gaziantep city center were evaluated by dividing them into three groups according to their structural status and the interventions they have undergone: “restored”, “intervened within the scope of renovation” and “not subjected to any intervention”. In line with this classification, the current status of each inn is presented in a table. In the evaluation process, both the practices carried out by public institutions and the current status of privately owned buildings were taken into consideration. In this context, the study aims to reveal the conservation status and current use of the inns in the historical city center of Gaziantep.
